Tracy Avis
I've worked in mental health services, including the NHS and private practice, for over 20 years and I'm an experienced and accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist.
My approach offers you a safe and compassionate space where we can work together towards resolving your problems and difficulties. I know that each person is different. Every individual has a unique past and experiences, with a diverse range of factors that contribute to their current difficulties.
I'll encourage you to be involved in your treatment throughout and will provide a supportive environment where you can take on the challenges and reap the benefits of therapy.
I have trained in a variety of approaches, and we can discuss and explore some ways of working that are most likely to help and suit you. I believe that as well as using a solid evidence-based theoretical approach, the relationship between you and your therapist is an important component of therapy — a relationship in which you feel safe, listened to and understood.
I work with adults aged 18 and over, both individuals and couples, and can also work with other family members where this would be beneficial.
