Dr Kai Thilo
Kai is a clinical psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), a chartered psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and qualified in cognitive-behavioural therapy at the University of Oxford.
Since graduating he has worked in academic research and in the NHS. His therapeutic approach is most strongly informed by CBT but he draws from additional models when indicated and offers a flexible and individualised therapy experience.
Where distress is not clinically significant and levels of functioning are high, he can offer life coaching based on cognitive-behavioural principles.
Kai is happy to assess and treat self-referring patients as well as those referred by their GP or specialist. He is an approved provider for most private health insurance companies.
Kai maintains research collaborations with University College London and the University of Oxford, combining psychotherapy and neuroscience techniques to better understand effective therapy.
Kai can offer sessions in German as well as English and works across the lifespan. Where appropriate, he also offers field-based work, telephone, video, or home visits.
